Esta’s newsman says Turkish fighter jets have targeted ‘Matina’ mount in Duhok

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish warplanes have once again carried out an airstrike targeting Matina mountain in Amedi district of Duhok province, Esta’s reporter said on Sunday.

Turkish aircraft continues to conduct airstrikes inside the Kurdistan Region territory, “late on Sunday it has bombed Matina mountain in Amedi district” Esta Media Network reporter said.

Up to this point, there is no immediate report in terms of casualties, according to the reporter, but panic spread among local civilians.

Turkey’s constant attacks continue in the Kurdistan Region site, it aims to eradicate the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) activities by targeting their positions which are mainly based in the Region.

PKK has a long deep-rooted hostility with Turkey. It has been waging an insurgency in Turkey since 1984 in which more than 40,000 people have been killed.
