SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) are expected to meet next week, PUK’s spokesperson Soran Jamal Tahir told Esta Media Network on Tuesday.
“Both parties’ politburos will meet to find a roadmap to solve the suspended issues between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region,” Tahir said.
He added that the meeting aims to prevent the repetition of “such problems through finding suitable mechanism.
On May 25, the PUK and KDP politburos held a meeting at the Kurdistan Region Presidency in Erbil.
The two parties discussed the Kurdistan parliamentary elections set for October 1.
