SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The 25th Silver Jubilee of Galawezh International Festival kicked off in Sulaimani city on Wednesday.
Galawezh, a literary festival in Sulaimani that has endured for two decades, is scheduled to continue until Saturday.
Organizers of the festival have named this year’s activities as Silver Jubilee as it entered its 25th anniversary.
The festival includes several artistic and literary forums and activities.
Dozens of Kurdish and foreign authors and artists will attend the festival, according to the festival’s organizers.
Galawezh is an annual literary-cultural festival organized by the Galawezh Foundation, which distributes literary competition prizes to authors, poetry, and research winners by the festival committee at the end.
