SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish warplanes bombed targets in two villages in the Kurdistan Region’s Amedi district late on Saturday, Esta Media Network reporter said.

The reporter in Duhok said Turkish fighter jets continued to bomb the villages of Sargali and Sgere in Amedi district at the time of writing this report.

“The air strikes have caused fears among villagers,” he added.

Turkey intermittently conducts air strikes against targets it says belonging to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Region’s Duhok province.

Earlier on Saturday, Iraqi border guard forces set up a military point near Hirure village in Kani Mase sub-district, where Turkey frequently bombs suspected PKK positions.
