Iran bombards targets belonging to Kurdish opposition group in Kurdistan

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iranian artillery and drones bombarded targets belonging to a Kurdish opposition party in the Kurdistan Region’s area of Balakayati on Wednesday, the group said in a statement.

The Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan said Iran’s revolutionary guards had attacked its headquarters by artillery and drones in the heights of Rost Valley and Smelan sub-district on Wednesday morning.

The bombardment began at 8:50 a.m. and lasted until 9:15, the Iranian Kurdish armed group stated.

There were no casualties in the attack, it added.

Iran intermittently shells bases belonging to the Kurdish opposition groups in the Kurdistan Region.
