SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A 20-year-old man was shot dead by the Turkish military in Bradost region in northeast of Erbil on Saturday, Esta Media Network has learned.

The Turkish military opened fire at three civilians in the village of Barmiza in Bradost region on Saturday, according to information Esta Media Network has obtained.

Tahsin Omer who had just gotten married was killed in the shooting, residents of the village told Esta Media Network.

On Friday, as many as 12 people were detained by the Turkish military in Dila, Malmalok and Maydan villages in Soran district, northeast of Erbil.

The Turkish military has established dozens of military points and bases in the Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province.

Turkey also intermittently carries out airstrikes and artillery shelling against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on the Kurdistan Region’s border areas with Turkey and Iran.

The Turkish army bombed several areas in the foothills of Kurazhar mountain in Amedi district for a few hours on Saturday night, according to a resident of Shiladze sub-district in northeast of Duhok.

Several vehicles and houses of civilians were damaged due to a Turkish strike on Hirure village in Amedi, northeast of Duhok, on Thursday.
