SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq said on Friday its oil exports reached 3.244 million barrels per day in March.

Iraq’s total oil exports in March exceeded 100 million barrels, the oil ministry said in a statement.

The country’s March revenue from oil exports also increased to $11.07 billion, it added.

“It is the highest revenue achieved since 1972,” the ministry said.

Exports from Iraq’s southern terminals reached more than 99 million barrels last month, it stated. More than one million barrels of oil were also exported from Kirkuk oilfields.

Iraq sold its crude at an average price of more than $110 per barrel in March, according to the statement.
