Four rockets fell near Balad air base, no casualties: Iraqi commander

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Four rockets landed near Iraq’s Balad air base in Saladin province on Thursday, an Iraqi commander said.

Commander of Balad Air Base Major General Diaa Mohsen said the attack caused no casualties and damages, according to the official Iraqi news agency.

Iraqi military bases housing U.S.-led Coalition troops frequently come under attack. Iraqi and U.S. officials have blamed Iran-backed Shia groups for the attacks.
