Kurdistan Region records 686 new coronavirus cases, 28 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region recorded 686 coronavirus cases and 28 deaths on Friday, said the health ministry.

In a statement, the Region’s ministry of health said it had registered 193 cases in Erbil, 189 in Sulaimani, 246 in Duhok, 15 in Halabja, 36 in Garmian and seven in Raparin.

The ministry further said it had logged 10 new deaths in Erbil, eight in Sulaimani, five in Duhok, one in Garmian and four in Raparin.

As many as 411 more patients had been recovered from the virus in the previous 24 hours, the ministry added.

The Region’s total number of COVID-19 cases reached 88,456, of which 2,788 died and 54,458 recovered, according to the health ministry.
