KRG PM visits UAE to meet senior officials

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday for talks with senior officials.

Barzani is scheduled to meet with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to a KRG statement.

The Kurdish premier will discuss the latest developments in Iraq and the region as well as strengthening mechanisms of cooperation and coordination in the various fields, the statement read.

“I’m pleased to be in Abu Dhabi to explore economic cooperation opportunities and discuss regional security with the leadership here,” Barzani said in a tweet.
