Two YBS members killed in Turkish drone strike in Sinjar: official

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two members of the Sinjar Resistance Units were killed in a Turkish drone strike in Sinjar district on Friday, a local official said.

A Turkish drone bombed a vehicle belonging to YBS group in Sinjar mountain at 4:30 p.m. local time, director of Snune sub-district Khudeda Chuki told Esta Media Network.

Several other YBS members were wounded in the attack, he said.

Meanwhile, the Kurdistan Region’s counter-terrorism service said Turkish drones bombed two vehicles and three bases belonging to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Sinjar.

“There is a military official of the PKK among the dead,” it added.
