SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Three rockets were fired toward a military base hosting Turkish troops in Nineveh province early on Sunday, the Kurdish counter-terrorism force said.

The Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Service said three rockets were fired toward Zelkan military base in Bashiqa sub-district in Nineveh.

“The Turkish military has thwarted the attack,” it said in a statement.

There were no casualties, it added.
