SULAIMANI (ESTA) — U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested two Islamic State (ISIS) facilitators in northeast Syria, the Coalition forces said on Tuesday.

The SDF conducted operations against ISIS militants in Deir Deir Ezzor province on Tuesday, Special Operations Joint Task Force-Levant said in a tweet.

The operations resulted in the “detention of two key Daesh facilitators,” it said, using an Arabic acronym for ISIS.

The SDF, consisted of Kurdish and Arab fighters, is an alliance in north and east Syria which worked with the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State.

Last month, the Kurdish forces detained an ISIS financier in a “successful operation” in Deir Ezzor, according to the SDF.
