SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A new political movement close to Iran was announced in Iraq on Wednesday (November 4), according to the movement.
Leader of the movement Hashim al-Haidari said in a video message that they would be the children of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“We will be the children of the covenant of God, the children of Imam Khamenei, and the children of Imam Khomeini in Iraq,” Haidari said.
Iraqi political analyst Shaho Qaradaghi said in a tweet that the announcement of a new political movement, entitled “The Covenant of God”, comes as Iraqis are waiting for late salaries and an end to corruption and waste of public money.
