Peshmerga minister meets Coalition’s deputy commander

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Peshmerga Shorish Ismael met with Deputy Commander of U.S.-led Coalition Forces Major General Kevin Copsey in Erbil on Wednesday.

Both sides discussed relations between the Peshmerga ministry and Iraqi defense ministry as well as the latest steps to establish joint coordination centers between Erbil and Baghdad.

Ismael and Cospey also discussed reform within the ministry of Peshmerga, a statement by the Peshmerga minister’s office said.

They also discussed threats posed by Islamic State (ISIS) and their movement, the statement read.
